| Trial Set for Teacher Accused of Attempted Sexual Assault Aug. 4, 2005 (AP) -- A teacher accused of attempting to sexually assault one of his students will go to trial. Thirty-eight-year-old Roger Wilkins was a sign language teacher at Salt Lake Community College and Utah Valley State College. Last March, he pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted rape, forcible sodomy and forcible sex abuse. Wilkins is accused of the crimes against an 18-year-old hearing-impaired woman who lived with Wilkins and his family for a month in Lehi. The woman says Wilkins undressed her and touched and kissed her breasts and genitals, even though she told him "no" in sign language. Wilkins is a registered sex offender. He was convicted of molesting two boys during a 1994 summer camp for deaf children. http://tv.ksl.com/index.php?nid=5&sid=223463 |
