Prosecutors dropped another charge in exchange for her plea. The deal will require Cardozo to undergo sex offender treatment and register as a sex offender. She may also have to remain under supervision for the rest of her life. Cardozo agreed to a deferred sentence of four years -- meaning she'll avoid prison time unless she violates probation -- and could also have the conviction removed from her record. Cardozo taught English at Wasson High School for ten years before resigning in March. She admitted to police a month earlier that she had sex with the teenager at least three times a week for at least two months while the boy was a senior.
