A high school teacher in Mantua has been charged with allegedly having a sexual relationship with one of his students.
Crestwood High School science teacher Stephen Pandur was indicted on three counts of sexual battery, a third-degree felony.
Police say rumors of a relationship with one of his female students prompted an investigation by the school district and the Portage County
Sheriff Department.
The investigation found that Pandur allegedly developed a relationship with the girl toward the end of the last school year, and continued contact
with her during the summer.
It is alleged that the relationship became more personal this year, and that it became sexual in nature after the student turned 18.
Pandur turned himself in to the Portage County Sheriff Office.
