| August 10, 2005 State Police continue to investigate teacher CASS CITY - Michigan State Police continue investigating a Cass City music teacher accused of sexually inappropriate conduct with a female student. Leaders of the Cass City Public School District suspended Douglas P. Burtch with pay on July 18 after the former student - now a Cass City High School graduate - made her allegations.
