Hyde Park, Vermont - A Lamoille Union High School science teacher was suspended from his job for two days for making inappropriate
comments to a female student.
According to the Vermont Department of Education, Joseph Laferriere was disciplined for allegedly calling the student a "slut". Laferriere
served his sentence in June 2004 when the incident happened.
Laferriere was appealing his punshment, and the state Board of Education last week decided the time served in 2004 was sufficient
punishment for him. Laferriere will not lose his license.
