PORT CLINTON -- A former Port Clinton High School science teacher has appealed the three-year prison sentence he received for trading
grades for sex.
Brett Dunbar, 26, has begun his sentence at the Madison Correctional Institution in London, Ohio, after he had sex with a 17-year-old female
student twice last year.
In April, he pleaded no contest and was found guilty of one count of felony sexual battery. Judge Paul Moon sent him to prison instead of opting
for probation in July.
The Sixth District Court of Appeals in Toledo is handling the appeal.
