Teacher Charged With Molesting Teen In The 1990s
(WCCO) A teacher in the Wayzata School District has been charged with molesting a teenage boy in the 1990s.
Mark T. Kosloske, 50, of Maple Grove, Minn., is charged with one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, which is a felony.
Kosloske, a sixth-grade teacher at Central Middle School in Plymouth, Minn., told police he is also a foster care provider for a teenage boy.
According to the criminal complaint, the incidents of alleged abuse happened between 1993 and 1995 when Kosloske lived in Oakdale, Minn.
Prosecutors said the victim was Kosloske's next door neighbor.
Kosloske was a youth minister at Arlington Hills Church in St. Paul at the time, prosecutors said, and he took the victim and his twin brother to
church activities on a regular basis.
The alleged abuse took place in Kosloske's house and in the shower area at a YMCA in St. Paul where Kosloske took the victim and his brother
to play racquetball and basketball, prosecutors said.
The victim, now 25, told police he came forward because he learned Kosloske was an elementary school teacher, according to the criminal
complaint.
If convicted, Kosloske could face up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
