| Suspected flasher taken into custody Paola Farer Web Producer 9News.com AURORA - A suspected flasher is in custody. Police say the man exposed himself at a middle school, and then, on a separate occasion, in a parking lot in front of a business. Arapahoe County Sheriff's investigators took Tom Wendell Barrus into custody Tuesday evening. Aurora police had already staked out his car, which was parked not far from where one of the alleged incidents took place. On June 2, an Aurora police officer was called to a business on Parker Road on reports of a man exposing himself in the parking lot. When she approached the car, a black Toyota Celica, the man drove off, hitting her with his rear view mirror. He was wearing women's lingerie. The officer pursued the car and tried to approach again while it was stopped in traffic. The man drove off again, this time dragging the officer a short distance. Authorities said earlier Tuesday that Barrus was the suspected flasher and released a picture of him that they had on file. They say he is also suspected in a flashing incident at Thunder Ridge Middle School that took place last month. The man in that incident was also driving a black Toyota Celica. http://www.9news.com/acm_news.aspx?OSGNAME=KUSA&IKOBJECTID=5a020be6-0ab e-421a-01ee-102511c6bc14&TEMPLATEID=0c76dce6-ac1f-02d8-0047-c589c01ca7bf |
