Wednesday, June 1, 2005 11:02 AM Student sentenced to treatment in bomb plot (Buffalo, NY - AP) — A 15-year-old boy accused of plotting an attack on his suburban Buffalo high school has been ordered to spend up to a year in a residential treatment facility. The student from Amherst's Sweet Home High School has been in custody since a March 23rd raid on his family's Town of Tonawanda home. That's when police found bomb-related materials and literature about the 1999 shooting deaths of 13 people at Columbine High School in Colorado. The boy pleaded guilty in Erie County Family Court last month. Yesterday, a judge declared him a juvenile delinquent and imposed the stiffest sentence permitted under New York state's juvenile laws. Police began investigating the boy after he allegedly told friends he planned to bomb his high school after the Christmas break of his senior year. http://www.wrgb.com/news/regional/regional.asp?selection=article_34818 |
