Sin Embraced by Montview Presbyterian Church by Jo Scott, toscotts@duhmag.com November 3, 2005 Montview Presbyterian Church in Denver Colorado embraces the twin abominations of abortion and homosexuality. You won’t find the word repent in its priestly vocabulary unless its parishioners are speaking of honest-to-God Christians and their need to repent of judgmental, hateful and ignorant behavior. Pro-abortion and pro-homosexual congresswoman Diana DeGette attends Montview. Former Colorado Governor Roy Romer, an avid abortion advocate, attended Montview until he left for California to become the superintendent of Los Angeles Public Schools. Each year the Denver Male "Gay" Choir auditions are also held at Montview. Montview hosts a myriad of public speakers who not only embrace sin, but promote it. Not the least of these speakers is former congresswoman and past Planned Parenthood lawyer Pat Schroeder. Pat and Dick Lamb (who later became Colorado's governor) were successful in legalizing abortion in Colorado in 1967. Thus Colorado became the first state in the union to legalize the murder of innocent children. On Sunday October 23rd, Dr. Phillip Wogaman, Bill Clinton’s former pastor and now president of Illiff School of Theology , was the honored guest of the “tolerant” Montview Presbyterian Church. Wogaman is known for cunningly and successfully couching anti-Christian ideas in what is known as “Christian speak.” Montview Presbyterian Church was picketed Sunday, October 30th, 2005, by a dozen Christians. They were equipped with Bibles, protest signs and a heart for evangelism. Interestingly enough, as the protest began the Christians were met by Montview parishioners brandishing campaign signs which were handed out by church staff. These political signs were used to block the protesters' signs. Fortunately, they were unable to block the Truth Truck, a large box-truck flanked on all sides with graphic pictures of aborted children. The Truth Truck was donated to the Denver Christians by Keith Mason, Regional Coordinator of Operation Rescue, Wichita, Kansas, and was strategically parked in front of the church where it could not have been missed. Rev. Dr. Cindy Cearley did everything in her power to prevent a bus load of teen choir members from hearing Scripture read from Romans 1:18-32 and I Corinthians 6:9-11. One protester, Curtis Kekoa, witnessed of Christ’s love and forgiveness to a young homosexual man and was making some headway when the young man broke into tears. He said the church was paying his college tuition precisely because he was homosexual and if he gave up the lifestyle he’d have to give up his education also. Be aware that Montview Presbyterian Church is not an anomaly. There are churches in every town in America which are identical to Montview. It is a sad commentary on the state of the American Christian Church when it is leading its own flock to hell under the guise of Christ’s love. It should be of serious concern to those of us who care about the lost and dying world around us. Hopefully, Christians will repent of their slothfulness, apathy and anything else which has been placed in the way of our true witness of Christ. Perhaps they will prayerfully begin to change the world for Christ one person at a time, one church at a time, one community at a time, one city at a time, and eventually we will win the culture war for Christ. In Christ, Jo Scott -----------

On several occassions, a church employee (above) sought to scuffle with the protesters and even pleaded with some protesters to return to the church later for a one o'clock "brawl." The employee, however, failed to initiate physical contact with any of the protesters at every attempt. His actions mimicked those of a schoolyard bully. See video (below) of the employee physically threaten a protester while pushing his 4-month old daughter in a stroller.

After a parishioner in the above video says, "This church is more loving," one of his fellow parishioners steps inches from the face of a protester uttering expletives demonstrating that Montview is "more loving." The video below further demonstrates this God-hater's utter buffoonery in repeating the words "Have a nice day" instead of repeating his foul-mouthed "love" for the camera.
